The Cloud Amber winter maintenance feature allows Authorities to track gritters and publish gritted routes in real time to the public. Optional features allow the public to report empty salt bins to the Authority and for planned gritting routes to be published too.
The screenshot below shows the Argonaut view with icons indicating the location and status of the gritter. By hovering over an icon, clicking on it, or selecting a gritter in the grid further information on the vehicle is available.

Hovering over a gritter shows the route that has been gritted in the last configurable period.

The public, hauliers, emergency services, etc can see in real time those routes gritted in the last hour, 4 hours, 8 hours etc or any other time period in the Voyager travel portal.

Optionally static gritting routes can be displayed as below. Further layers allowing the public to click on salt bins on a map to report low levels to the authority can be provided.
